Every holiday or family get-together included nightly sing-alongs and dancing, and Laura sang in her high school choir and played saxophone in the pep band.
Having lived in Portland since 2012, she now feels that Oregon is truly her home.
Her husband Michael also comes from a talented family of musicians. A soloist in the church choir, he sang with his school choir on German television.
Michael’s parents were church choir regulars for many years, and his sister has spent over two decades singing with the Arizona Opera and in many musicals.
Their relationship has been interlaced with music too, from the Portland Opera to musicals at the Keller and concerts in the park. Their son Ethan has played piano since 2021 and joined the Portland Boychoir in the spring of 2023. They hold season tickets at the Portland Symphony and enjoy singing and dancing in their kitchen.
Through her business The SDS Collection, Laura serves her clients as a bookkeeper and profit advisor, empowering service-based small business owners to grow their profits by managing their finances and creating attainable goals.
